Taisetsu Art Museum and Taisetsu-ro are facilities where many people can come into contact with artworks in the unique atmosphere of an old folk house, set against the backdrop of the great outdoors of Matsumoto, Shinshu. The Taisetsu Art Museum has a permanent exhibition of several dozen artworks. The museum is set in an old house, creating a unique space where traditional Japanese architecture and art come together in harmony.
The character "tai" in Taisetsu Museum of Art means origin, the fundamental beginning of things. Taisetsu-ro is an art gallery located in a storehouse just outside the Taisetsu Museum. Artworks are available for purchase at this gallery.
The appeal of Taisetsurou is that you can not only appreciate the artworks, but also talk directly with the artists before choosing a piece. By listening to the artists' thoughts and the creative process, you will gain a deeper understanding and affection for the work.
